...I could've sworn Mimi was black. 🤣 @reallilscrappy
When we moved to Montgomery in '88 I got picked on daily in school for being "light skinned" (you think you white saga, etc.) by kids I thought looked just like me, even had 2 teachers to pull me out of class to ask me what my race was, before I knew what "race" was, smh ...grew up & got called a stupid N-word by a white man at work...so I don't get & never will get how "lightskin" is considered less "black" than dark skin...🤷🏽♀️...I got hate both ways...still do at times. If you're ANY shade of Black, you're likely going to have some "experiences" that are race related, you never know what someone else has had to go through. I used to hate being "light-skinned"....until I saw the "LIGHT" within myself ...half the time people don't know what they're talking about. LOL
But hey all #BlackLivesMatter right ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼👑
In the words of #JayZ... Light-----, dark -----, faux -----, real -----, Rich -----, poor -----, house -----, field ----- Still -----, still -----.
